UNPLUGGED WINE BAR IN DOWNTOWN TUCSON CHANGES OWNERSHIP - New Restaurant Concept Will Take Its Place
Tucson, AZ (December 29, 2015) - Unplugged Wine Bar, beloved downtown hangout and hip music spot, will close its doors this week to make way for a new bar & eatery opening the weekend of January 1st - 3rd. Unplugged founder, Frank Lietzau, chose to sell the wine bar after two lovely years of business in Tucson’s main hub.
The new business, Batch, will be run by longtime resident restaurateur and downtown resident, Kade Mislinski and partners, and will offer the curious pairing of Whiskey and Doughnuts.
Frank has communicated his sincere appreciation for years of excellent memories and unforgettable partners, employees, and supporters at Unplugged Wine Bar’s downtown location. Unplugged promised a television-free, jazzy locale for those out to enjoy good company and extraordinary wine. The absence of Frank’s stellar and obscure wines will surely be felt by downtown fans, foodies, and prospective sommeliers.
Frank and the downtown Tucson community are wishing Batch great luck and prosperity in the new year!
Batch Doughnuts and Whiskey has announced its grand opening for January 1st-3rd at the new 118 E. Congress St. location. The Grand Opening festivities, scheduled to begin January 1st from 4pm to 2am, boast “free doughnuts ‘til they’re gone” with a 6-8pm performance from Americana/Alt-Country band Laura and the Killed Men and DJ Thomas B from 10pm-2am.
